How can You Tell that Linux Requires Less Maintenance than Windows?

Wow! This is very strange. A Linux blogger on the Blog of Helios has been attacked by a couple guys in a commonly seen  truck because Linux is taking away jobs. According to the attacker — who started out friendly enough until he and his bud figured out that the guy they were talking to is a supporter of Open Source Software — Linux makes it unnecessary for folks like them to visit customers every six months to clean up the Windows mess.

One can only hope that this phenomenon does not spread — the attacks, that is. Hopefully the phenomenon of using Linux to reduce the need for visits from your expensive IT guy in a truck will spread like wildfire.
